This masterclass is based on the working hypothesis that the Theory of economic time will help to improve the methodological framework for the balanced development of the economy. It can be used to identify the differences in economic time between developed and developing countries, thus making it possible to determine a precise and reliable extent of lag of the latter, its dynamic pattern, and the prospects for overcoming it. This work is aimed at adapting the Theory of economic time to the study of the balanced development of the world economic system and identifying the prospects of overcoming the underdevelopment of developing countries by speeding up their economic time.
